You too are babbling out of a "fantasy land": Spitzer was NOT a patron of Emperors Club VIP --he was the girls' case officer! Spitzer didn't meet the prostitutes to lay them --he met them to debrief them... Of course, he needed a cover in case things turned awry and his fallback cover was to pretend to be just another "customer" of the sex ring. Of course, the FBI ain't no fool: they perfectly know that Spitzer was not a mere customer but actually used the sex ring to collect intelligence on the real customers --but then, who wants to try a prominent former AG for high treason???? Who wants to throw Spitzer in the cell next door to Jonathan Pollard?? Gus.
