I agree. And it will exasperate long term problems. Next time the money lenders won't have a worry in the world because the know the worlds federal banks will bail them out.

No downside to bad business practices... what could be better? They should have thought of that will the 1000's of Internet companies that went belly up.

Let's see if the markets buy it... I suspect not.

I am not so sure. The paper they are buying has been so heavily discounted that its believed its worth more than the feds are paying. Of course, no one knows for sure.
