The Bush Justice Department is corrupt. They stink. This focus on a top democratic governor's session or sessions with a callgirl, and ignoring all other johns who used the service reeks of partisan assassination. It stinks to high hell. We all know Rove and Gonzales have been using the Bush Justice department as a prosecutory arm of the RNC to trump up charges against democrats and let all Republican felons, election cheats and corporate criminals go free. Now this. If I were SPitzer I'd hang in there, investigate and expose the real reason this came out. My guess? Spitzer has dirt on the Bush administration helping to create the sub-prime mess with S+L debacle type deregulation. If that coems out before the election, the GOP will take 100% of the blame for the stagflationary recession and millions of Americans losing their homes and life savings. The GOP might never recover.
