The new program probably won't help subprime/alt A related securities but the days of stealing AAA securities are over.


But they're only AAA until Fitch sez that they're CCC. Then what happens? Does your friendly Fed banker call you up and say:

"Hello. Margin Call! Please come and pick your securities and bring a check to cover loan or bring a check to cover the difference in value.
