The productivity increase in manufacturing has been occurring for a long time, its massive, and its nearly universal across the world Gawd what a defeatist attitude. I really don't get that comment. The productivity increase is a good thing not a bad thing. How it pointing out that a good thing is so wide spread "a defeatist attitude"? An even if it was a bad thing, I didn't say anything like "its impossible to stop, don't even try". My comment was about as far away as defeatist as it could be. We all need and will always need Manufactured goods. Exactly, which is one reason why we keep producing more and more of them, we just use less people to do it.
