I'm really not trying to be a know it all. I knew everything when I was younger but the older I get the more questions I have.

Here's what bothers me. There are damn few absolutes in life. Human natures is such that we want to use terms like "never", "Always" etc etc and in most cases those just don't work. We want them to work because it takes less time to digest, ponder and come up with an well thought out opinion than it does to just say everything is black & white. That doesn't mean the conclusions I reach (after giving an issue consideration) is correct. What it means is that I'm a free thinker and I'm not going to be led around by the nose by people telling me what to think. The minute we enter the ivory tower and claim to have all the answers is usually followed by an Elliot Spitzer like fall from grace

I'm not brilliant and I don't have all the answers. But I'm not stupid and I can give most people a run for their money in a debate. The entire premise behind a debate is that there is more than one side to a story and probably more than one solution to a problem!

Love me, hate me - I don't care. I am what I am and I'm not in awe of authority

I'm leaving for Chicago Tomorrow so everyone get your cheap shots in while I'm gone. I'll be back in a few days to lay waste to you LOL - JUST KIDDING

ALWAYS WIN THE GAME OF COOL

Love,

Gloop

"most pols would sell out their constituents in order to stay in office......"

This is one of the reasons I have maintained for a long time that President Ford was one of the best Presidents for the time in the history of our nation. I admire the rare politician who will serve, act in the best interests of the nation and then retire after becoming unpopular for doing what is right.
