No one voted for a tunnel - that's greg five cents idea - no matter the cost.


Huh? The voters wanted neither option:

"About 70 percent of voters rejected the tunnel proposal and about 55 percent shot down the elevated alternative among the nearly 99,000 ballots counted Tuesday night. It's unlikely that either measure can recover if officials' turnout projections are accurate."

How much you want to bet that if the tunnel was paid for by the feds, it would have been approved by the voters?

But even if the voters wanted the elevated over the tunnel, it would be a huge mistake to replace the elevated with an elevated from several perspectives. Nickels knows that.....hence his position.

So I am afraid your criticism is a bit vapid and might I say a lot whiny. ;-)
