I edited my post to add this: edit: I also realize this is something that "should not be discussed in mixed company." and "isn't an appropriate subject", and will always be a subject that divides the sexes, and that it can't be talked about honestly, so I'll drop it now. You are one of the best guys on SI Ken.

So they were taught ideas (about women) as boys that aren't exactly nice. Things that go against the moral and ethics of a civilized society. Things that have been passed down from generation to generation. Seeing things that should not be happening, like hitting women and buying sex and belittling and thinking that women are dumb or ignorant of stupid or incapable and less then men because they are physically weaker, and so can be easily taken advantage of and subdued? Some of that is true, but most of it is not. I applaud our military for its efforts to become inclusive, but I think they have some ways to go. If a woman wants to fight on the front lines and passes a stringent series of tests, she should be allowed to fight on the front lines. Eliot Spitzer obviously was taught the same things some of your fellow participants were taught. He's the unlucky one. He hasn't been exposed to the other kind of the coin. I'm glad he has all girls, but I'm sorry they have such a weak kneed mother. The one person with the most influence. The one that could teach them that what their father did is not acceptable and so he will be shunned by them all.
