It has occurred to me that perhaps banks have been hoarding cash because they see the CDS nightmare coming their way like an out of control locomotive.

It is so big, so dangerous, that maybe, just maybe, preparing for it has been a substantial reason for the drying up of credit.

I would really like to be able to find facts and figures on CDSs. They might be enlightening.
