Such utter bull!!! In Hessen socialist candidate almost one the race on her platform of "no more coal fired plants" (and of course, no nuke plants). Power to be found elsewhere, like imported from France (80% nuke power supplies

Once again, you are talking out of your butthole........if you go to the site below and double click on the country, you will see that most of the major European countries saw their oil consumption peak around 1980. Since then, their oil consumption has slowly drifted sideways or down. However, the same can't be said about the US.......our consumption continues to slope upwards:

The economies of Europe are larger than they were in 1980 so the impact/pain of oil has been lessened.
