Hi Mike--justchecked to seethepricethey paid. 40 million 4 year contract.Yup the Cards went to bank to get this contract.
Funny thing i nore one Ariozona sportswriter saying its unbelievable for once the Cardinals were not STUPID.
He was a person that believed if Cards always F.U, and believed they would fail to come up with the money.
It is apparent Fitzgerald doesn't covet the limelight.
Unless Cards become playoff perenials and get a run to SB, he will be one of these great players having a carrer in obscurity, But with Fitzgerald they could emerge out of the pack if they build around him.
He is the best YOUNG receiver in the NFL, imo.

This is a player rumour mill have Eagles seeking.
Malcolm KellyWR ,Oklahoma. 6'4", 217.
Others are a Desean Jackson WR , California 6' 170.

Jackson is quite fast and a kick returner.
But Kelly has the. height and speed. But his numbers don't overwhelm as Oklahoma was run dominant team.
a Mock Draft nfldraft.rivals.com

Kiper has the Eagles going for OT, Otah from Pitt(Eagles would do that only if they believe Justice isa"never make it" OT)

Tose thinking Eagles wil go for a DE i think underestimate Clemons(sp?).
He played behind Burgess but in only 37% on the plays his numbers were awesome.
And he is a comer, an LB in college lost a year and 1/2 to injuries his first 3 years, and then switched to DE last year, with Burgess coaching him.
He could be a very exciting 3rd down DE.
i think Eagles like their 4 man rotation at DE for now(Cole/Thomas/Abimiani/Clemons.( Eagles seem to like Abimiani)

A LOT will ride on putting Carpenter at MLB(played SLB in college).
If they are right about these kids

Gaither/Gocong/Carpenter/Jordan, they would have one quite young linebacker corp.
With Fitzgerald out thepicture, i say go for Lito being healthy next year.
Because with a heathy Lito and Asante at left/right corners, that would be something.

Eagles had the WORST amount of "take aways" in football last year(only 19!!!)
i think that will want them to go for Lito andAsnte.
i hope Lito doesn't pull a refusal to go to camp demanding a new contract, he is making much less than Asante, and he has 2 years left on the contract.
They only haveafellownamed Jason Davisat Fullback nowthat Tapeh went to another team.
Regards Tony Hunt. man Westerbrook is a fine blocker at 5'8".
PSU obviously didn't teach blocking.
It would be shocking to me if Hunt at 235/240 can't be a blocker, but some guys just don't grasp the technique.
But evidently he a clue about blocking last year.
Look at 5'8" 165 i could block, like merely making a big guy throw you out of the way can protect a QB--LOL!

Later, Max

Robinson on which player on each team is ready to moveon up: <<Philadelphia Eagles: Victor Abiamiri, DE
The Eagles love Abiamiri’s combination of size, strength and speed. He only saw six games of action last season, but the coaching staff believes he has the ability to develop into their most complete defensive lineman. He’ll have to fight with Juqua Thomas for snaps, but he’ll get the opportunity in training camp to win the starting job across from Trent Cole>>
