The parts on the roof, the solar cells, are solid state devices and ARE pretty much bulletproof

Here in the northwest we have two issues (other than clouds) - water infiltration that turns to ice and tree limbs. There is of course the trouble with moss, that may try to grow in and under any panels. Cleaning of moss is a yearly activity here - I don't expect that would change - but wonder if the job would be more/less difficult.
