The real issue here is why they targeted Spitzer, and it was to protect MASSIVE BUSHIE CORRUPTION Sorry, peewee, but that ain't the case. If you'd bother to peruse a few of the facts pertaining to this interesting and humorous episode, you'd see that Spitzer screwed himself. By his amateurish attempts to cover his money tracks to Hookers, Inc., he aroused the suspicion of his bank, who then narc-ed him off to the Feds, who initiated an investigation originally suspecting possible bribes or payola, naughty no-no's, especially for pols. I hope the sucker does try to brazen it out. That will provide ongoing amusement. Perhaps someone should start up a thread along the lines of the old "Slick boinks Monica". How 'bout "Spitz or Swallows? Eliot's Mess" or "Diamonds are a Guv's Best Friend"??

I am not in the least concerned with the crime of prostitution. However, I am concerned with the oath he took to uphold and enforce the law; and he did not. What kind of message does this send about all the cases that he has prosecuted? He just opened up Pandora's box. He has placed people in prison for less. It is only fair that he be charged for the misdemeanor and disbarred. If his judgment is this lacking in his personal life what did he do when he was a prosecutor? In the private sector he would be fired, disbarred, and sanctioned by the Bar Association. An attorney in my city was arrested for solicitation and he was disbarred. New Yorkers do the right thing, demand that Spitzer be arrested. If he was poor he would be arrested.
