I don't think the fed will go down without a big fight. So far we have GWBush begging people to spend their refunds and the fed lowering interest rates. What happens when the fed/treasury "prints" a quick trillion dollars and gives us all a "giftcard" to be spent at our local Target or Wallmart. Or are they ready to let the economy/jobs track down by not printing? Also, I wonder if the foreigners holding our dollars may want to convert them to some stocks that actually have some tangible assets (like coal, missiles, food, etc.) Or will they scarf up some cheap US land? mmmmm...what to do? I know if I sell my gold stocks we will see gold jump $50.00. Should I sell?
