This has ruined Barnett's career. His whole position is built on the trust from the military. Now it is totally gone. No flag will ever talk to him again. No more military articles for Esquire. Forget about the book he is writing. His position with Enterra, which is built on getting government contracts, is ruined. Some questions remain unaddressed much less answered. We need to see what business affiliations Fallon accepts...before ruining Barnett. I have not seen it mentioned but would not rule out that someone offered Fallon a platinum parachute. If our retired generals were required to disclose their tax returns including sources of income, America would be stunned.
