Webb is also a multiply decorated Vietnam vet. He has a son who served in Iraq. Most importantly from my perspective, he is most emphatically not a yes-man. And he forecast an insurgency in Iraq, ahead of the invasion.

The immediate need for Obama to secure the Presidency would be win over the women vote who were equally energized to come out and vote for Hillary. She also has the executive experience that Richardson has. Besides, Richardson could serve this country in his capacity as a Cabinet Minister of his choice. Even Wes Clark (folding of ranks) could join Obama's cabinet as Defence Sec.
