Actually geo-thermal would be a good place to invest your money. But it would be tricky investing in land. You could have a geo thermal goldmine, or a volcano.

Its not a matter of you investing in it.....it's developers. The high price of oil is what makes the alternatives more viable and worthy of R&D. Years ago ethanol wasn't viable because gas was cheap - now it is.
