Exactly... Further, those on the so-called left are happy with the collapse of the USD because it reduces US wealth and economic power in relation tot he rest of the world. The so-called right are happy with it because it juices multinational profits and cushions the US from a deeper recession. Unfortunately, in his book The Gingerbread Race, Andrei Navrozov was prescient. The US is arriving at the same destination as the Soviet Union, but by vastly different means. Already by the early 90s, when he wrote the book, there was a narrow window through which public discourse had to pass to be deemed acceptable or reasonable. Now the media are literally filled with disinformation.
