not all sex with hoar houses is between consenting adults.

many women are trapped into prostitution, raped constantly, beaten, etc.

too bad this wasn't with consenting adults rather going through organized crime for sex.

You were addressing a tiny fraction of that class of human interaction.

I was addressing was about sex between consenting adults

And for the most part it is perfectly legal for consenting adults to have sex. You might be putting your butt on the line in civil court but that's another story.

My point has nothing to do with religious views. In fact, people referring to natural law as a reason not to prohibit prostitution are expressing a moral point of view as well. How else could you characterize it?

If the governments across the country decide to legalize prostitution, so be it.

What I object to is the haste to justify prostitution once some high profile politician steps in it. The only reason for that discussion is to detract from the behavior and to make it nothing more than a "personal matter."

Well, it is something more than that in our current state of law. You either believe in the rule of law or you don't. If you believe a change is in order, than you should work towards that change in the appropriate way. IMO, the appropriate way does not include an attempt to justify the conduct of a Governor Spitzer.

Just my two centavos.
