In a general election, I would agree with you.

But in the democrat primaries, he's getting such an overwhelming % of the black vote (which in many states is the deciding factor), has been handled with kid gloves and like a rock star by the press while they were busy bashing Hillary and Bill for anything and everything, he's had a much bigger advantage from being black than he's lost because of bigotry.

In the general election it might go the other way.

Blacks make up a smaller percentage of the entire population than the pool of democrats. So they will have less influence on the outcome. I also believe there are more republicans that will be uncomfortable with a black president than democrats. There are virtually no republicans that are attracted to the "idea" of a black president and feel hip and cool for voting for one like many young democrats.
