I took it as racist. Even before I knew she said the exact same thing 20 years ago, almost to the day.

By saying that being black has worked to his advantage, she has denigrated all of his past accomplishments, the least of which was graduating Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School and being the President of the Harvard Law Review. Obama has never used his race to pander to black people or to try to scare up votes. In fact, he studiously avoided doing that, trying to focus on the issues. It is Hillary and her surrogates like Ferraro who have used race to try to paint him as just another Jesse Jackson, who typifies the old-style, race-as-chip-on-shoulder, black politicians of decades ago. Obama rose above all that and Hillary and Ferraro want to put him "in the back of the bus", to quote another Hillary surrogate. For anyone with an even mind, those comments are simply racist and unacceptable. For you to deny they are racist makes it obvious to everyone on this thread that you yourself have a racist filter in your mind. And that is why I recoil from you and your posts. We're sick and tired of this crap! When will we have an America that is past all this BS.
