No. I think effective Pastors are quite capable of defining the culture their members embrace. I think it's also true that most reasonable human beings, who are church goers, just go to the community church and filter the excesses of fire and brimstone preachers for their kids. There are also some who go and sleep through sermons with their eyes open because showing up is a must do for their role in society. I can't suggest anything about what the Obamas do, but we all saw Mrs Obama's day in the sun, where by inference she declared she had been ashamed of America until her husband became a candidate. That seems to be an example of embracing the Pastor's inflamatory rhetoric.
