They are nationalizing bad mortgages right now, essentially,
by swapping bad mortgage paper for treasuries. The danger of
that is interest rates shooting up. There will be one
bailout plan after another, and, if nothing else works, direct
monetization.

Hey, I'm not so sure there was a huge housing bubble in
Warren-Troy-Farmington Hills, MI, where the 5-year home price
rise was a very bubbly 0.31%. After all, there was some
inflation all these years. Now, I see a lot of places
like that in Michigan, and when I checked the few remaining
made in USA products, I found "made in Michigan" on many.
I wonder if that's a pure coincidence. -ggg-
