This stuff is just remarkable. Hard to believe a US powerhouse like Bear Stearns is at risk of going belly up....

Not a surprise at all........Bear Stearns is at the epicenter of the subprime mess. They need to go down......in as orderly a fashion as possible. In fact, Cramer has been predicting its demise since last July.....in August, they were taking bets on TSCM when it would go under. The best bet is that they merge with some other broker, or get dismantled piece by piece and sold off. That should give the feds a good kick in the ass and to get serious about cleaning this mess up.

And BTW, Bear Sterns doesn't deserve to continue given they way it was playing the game.

What scares me is that these buttholes have been lying about how bad things are within their organizations.......just a couple of months ago, Bear Stearns said they were weathering the crisis. Ultimately, that's what has the markets spooked. We still don't know the full extent of the problem.
