Bob; What about the deficit? Yes exactly my point - all those payments going out forever to our bravest will continue to be a drag on the deficit. If you noticed the other priorities listed by MmeSybrite, after an initial cost they will bring in a return. Just an example so you understand what I mean; if you put money into medical research, potentially that means America will be more productive and and the initial investment will be repaid. Can't make that argument for the payments made to soldiers receiving disability payments - even though the payments are moral and justified. steve
