You know where the fuel prices are going to hit the hardest for average people? It's on the table and everyday items... Transportation costs of food stuffs and these items. Just read where it costs an average big truck more than a 1000 bucks to fill up..

news.rgj.com

Bad for the truckers, but in the long run, good for the environment and energy savings as it will force more goods to be transported by rail. So much more fuel efficient... It never made any sense to me to ship something cross country by 18 wheeler when the rails run right along the interstate highways.

Times, be a changing once again, as one is forced into change.. The only way things seem to change is by force..:)
