Makes sense considering that in the past we have had higher temperatures and more CO2 in the atmosphere but global warming was apparently contained and not a run away heating force.

It did run away on Venus but that's with an atmospheric pressure 92 times greater than Earth's (like being nearly a kilometer under water on Earth) and with a partial pressure of CO2 thats over 2500 times higher, and its only a little over 70 percent of Earth's distance from the sun.
