He drilled him just like a lawyer would

I saw a bit of that. It struck me the same way. I thought Obama handled himself well but, as you say, he's on the record with a lot of detail now.

OT I haven't watched a high school basketball game since I was in high school. I'm switching back and forth between that and the Spurs/Pistons. Wow, what a contrast. I had no idea that top-tier high school basketball was quite that raggedy.

The next step will be alot of money passing hands and someone, probably more than one, will come forward and say they did see him in Church when these sermons were preached.

For heaven's sake--this is so idiotic. I can tell you that I sat in a synagogue on many occasions and couldn't tell you what the sermon was about just a few days later, nuch less years later.

I thought of you this morning when I read the story someone posted from NewsMax about one of their "freelance reporter" claiming to have seen Obama in church on one of the infamous Sundays. He wrote this in Aug of last year, so the lie was already out there, but it didn't take long for the shameless NewsMax to find it and post it as the "truth".

The Obama camp quickly disproved it with evidence that Obama was actually in Florida on that Sunday speaking. I hope he has kept excellent records.

I've just started The FOunding Mothers by Cokie Roberts, and laughed last night when I read this quote from Esther Burr, mother of Aaron Burr:

"NOthing discourages me so much about our public affairs as the growing divisions between the provinces...Our assemblies.. are extremely divided and set against their governors" and "I conclude you have seen in the NY Mercury (newspaper) such a horrid pack of lies I suppose were never put together before in this country."

Sounds like not much changes...
