"The greater point is that all options need to be on the table." Exactly. Take away the wackiness of the enviros, and remove the "religious" aspect of conservation and alternative energy, and there are some good ideas. The trick is for the alternatives to be practical and cost-efficient, not some concept that will let us all go to heaven or nirvana. As soon as someone attaches a "Green" label to an idea, I tend to oppose it. If instead, they'd call it "efficient," my initial reaction might be more positive. We need more engineers talking about it, and fewer "priests." I'm more interested in physics than metaphysics.
