Chinu, I have to disagree with you re: comparing Obama's pastor vetting to his doctor..if it weren't peoples belief in pastors as spiritual advisors, Bill Clinton would never have gotten off the moral hook..so to speak.. So yes, I was also shocked when I saw those videos of Wright after having read all I could about Obama..the disconnect was jarring..but once I stepped back, I was able to see the broader picture.. I have a particular perspective that weaves my child advocacy(poverty, violence..child abuse included) with my work and life experiences..I've met so many women, daughters of these very pastors and congregants that now are up in arms about Obama and Wright, read about them in research studies of bulimia/anorexia and drug addiction about the incest they endured at the power and arrogance of these fathers, uncles and grandfathers AND the enabling of these men by the girls mothers...It sickens me...and if this issue continues to be pushed, I will continue to speak about this breathtaking hypocrisy here and other forums...
