<<<Don't you think that saying he loved his mother would be telling the truth? And don't you think that Obama has been telling the truth so far?

I don't know about taking advantage of people. I have consistently acknowledged that Obama is a human being who does have faults, and I don't believe I've made up or bought into any fairy tales about him. But I don't see where he's taken advantage of anyone.>>>

My point is this, especially for people on this thread. All the anger on this thread and demonizing Hillary about her compromises or for playing politics are things that has to be done if you want to get anything accomplished.

In trashing her, you set up this impossible standard for Obama to uphold, if he has any intention of staying in national politics.

I can understand how he needed his church to gain acceptance in South Chicago, but I can also see that what plays in Chicago is not going to play nationally. Either you understand that or you are not going to succeed on a national level. He has to throw his pastor under the bus (so to speak) if he has any chance on the national level. The worst thing he can to is to try to weasel his way out - try to satisfy both constituancies. If he tries that, he is going to get both sides angry at him. He is not going to bring the two sides together.

He has to choose...and choose wisely.

Welcome to the big leagues, rookie.
