Obama has already denounced his former preacher's words, which by the way, while politically incorrect, were not exactly inaccurate. Our government did lie us into Iraq, Vietnam and maybe the war against Japan. The Bush government especially lies to us on a daily basis and never admits any unpleasant truths. Bush won';t even admit we're in a recession though we're already past that headed for a depression. But the rightwing's attacks on Obama's former minister go far beyond any debate about those facts. It goes deeply into pure racist fear-mongering. How the angry blacks are going to "take over" with Obama and demand reparations. Just total nonsense. Obama's administration will be 80% white and he is half white himself. In fact until recently, Obama was not accepted by most blacks because he wasn't "black enough". They thought Bill CLinton was "more black". And Clinton did great things for race relations as well as the US economy.
