C2, the whole idea of a "no-brainer" investment process is counter-intuitive to me. I have never found "no brains" to be useful. Normally, it's lack of brains which is my problem.

When people say it's a "no brainer" to own gold, it makes me think of hiring a chimp to do my investing for me. That idea makes me suspect the "no brainer" idea is just that.

There are very smart counterparties everywhere, lurking in the undergrowth. They have more money than me and more money too. Caution and brains seem better than "no brainer" confidence.
