Shareholders still have to approve the deal. At 2 bucks, that isn't much more than zero, so once the lawyers get involved... Bear execs' better start looking for mattresses for the loot they took, and try removing those big red bullseyes from their backside ASAP.

I just don't see how this can be received as good news if the market was still pricing $30 on Friday.

It might do both... several times!

I am mostly in "safe" stuff talked about here, but overweighted in US treasuries. Wish now that I had more foreign currency, GLD, and SKF. Lots of cash I could deploy, but I feel like a deer in the headlights.
