I have been considering the same thing, taking my IRA and making something good out of it. I see these markets continuing to fall through 09. I have no faith it what the Feds are doing to prop things up. They are droping the interest rate, they say to spur growth. OK! Once they are satisfied that they have growth ongoing, will they not turn to inflation and attempt to attack that problem. How? Will they not raise interest rates, which will cause a slump in growth? I'm no economist but this is getting a bit scary to me.
