You can bet the Fed was awake all night -g- However, if the
dummies drain SOMA again for the promised TAF as a
solution, .... Hint: they did not drain at 2002 bottom, they
did a record series of coupon passes. They may need a 100 billion
coupon pass, and it may not work as the dollar gets dumped.
They will through some money at the futures, but it's the
cash market these days where stocks get dumped. Not sure
futures buyers are very enthusiastic about the "save" prospect.
It ain't 1987 "portfolio insurance" these days, 1000x bigger,
and SP futures is the most liquid contract.
