A person would have to be totally clueless to even look at book value for any of the financials at this time. That has to be one of the most meaningless numbers you can use.

There are CEO's who can't say "No" to a deal. I don't know if Dimon is that type of guy, but it's Hubris. Also, the Gubmint might have asked JPM to take them over.
