You know Michael, we can go round and round this argument..you obviously don't want Obama to win...you have not wanted him to win..you're the one who came over here barely able to contain your excitement at the possibility that Sinclair would be the guy who would take Obama's candidacy down when he's nothing but a mentally unstable person telling lies..

As someone who has lived and worked among racial and cultural minorities, I've seen the consequences of words..period..

Beyond that, I'm also saying that you're making inaccurate judgements of him not based on how Obama has lived his personal and political life but based on several lines out of thousands of his Pastor's work..You're also discounting the thousands of lives this pastor's church has kept out of prison, helped find jobs, sent to school, helped keep marriages together and find meaning in living drug-free and crime-free lives...

I havent posted all weekend and i have not read any of the posts on Wright. I dont for a minute believe Obama believes the stupid remarks of Wright. Shouting God Damn America in a church of what looks to be crazed parishioners. Its all very upsetting to me but it represents a Farakan type approach in some of the christian african american churches. Its a mix of anti-white, anti-american and anti-semitism that has its origins in the unique experience of African americans. Very liberal folks like Jesse Jackson to their credit denounce this type of rhetoric and rabble rousing.
So where the hell was Obama in all this. First of all, he lied about not knowing this was being said, whether he was in church or not when the most notorious sermons were made. He is proving himself to be a very conventional pol, joining the largest church in the area to advance his political career and now distancing himself from the remarks of his so called religious mentor.
What this does to his campaign, whether hillary jumps all over it or not is unclear. He is still the odds on fave to win the nomination but what i see happening once the real campaign begins is not pretty. He needs to do damage control real quick and what form that will take is unknown to me now. He may win the nomination as a hopelessly crippled national candidate and this will not because of hillary but because of who he goes to bed with---his wife who said she was never proud of the US and wright whose blatherings will make it impossible for obama to win states like ohio, florida, missouri, etc.
