Right before you spend the $3 you presumably have a need for gasoline. The need for gasoline is such that spending the $3/gallon is worth it to you, or in other words you are better off spending the $3, than not spending the $3.

You don't have a choice to spend $3 or $2. You have a choice to spend $3 or not to get the gas.


So it's increasing my wealth paying more for gas? You have your head so far up the arse of your ideology you don't understand the simple principle that a dollar spent is a dollar less of wealth, choice or not.
