But McCain did seek out the man's support- which kind of makes it harder to understand, for me. Obama probably really has affection for Wright- with all his faults, he's served his country, apparently been an inspirational pastor, and has led a vibrant community. So I can understand taking the bad with the good there more than I can courting a racist you don't even know. That makes less sense to me. I mean I go back to my uncle- lovely man, total racist. I wouldn't throw him overboard just because of his racism though. He was a product of his times, and the area he grew up in- but he did a lot of good. He was a good man, I think, if you weigh up all the good and bad.
