Hi LMBF,

Yes, it has been quite a ride down from the start of 2006 until now, particularly for the diamond sector. I think that a lot of fund money went in back then, and there haven't been any Ekatis or Diaviks come out of it. Nothing even close.

I admit I am not watching diamonds very much any more. I still have a large stake in True North Gems, and they have been discovering and delineating a lot more rubies at grades that are astronomically higher than diamond plays. They are perfectly positioned at a time that the world is rejecting rubies from pariah state Burma since there are currently no high quality alternatives to those stones. TNG have the high quality alternatives. Have a look at the pictures of gems they have cut from the picture gallery on their website... also have a look at the 43-101 report, which shows some new discoveries from last year that may turn out to be sources of even higher quality gems than the ones cut.

Good luck to Hudson. Greenland has a lot of economic potential and its economy and infrastructure will be growing strongly in decades to come as the snow and glaciers retreat inland, perhaps uncovering new mineral deposits of all kinds.
