I had assumed that the Wright story about Obama's racist rector had been leaked by the Clintons and that Senator Obama had lost control of the news release cycle. If the story were to break at any other time it could have been catastrophic for Obama. I am beginning to wonder if he did not time the release himself. Reverend Wright is retired now. He and his family are inaccessible in Africa. There are no significant primaries for weeks. It was bound to get out eventually, so why not now?
