Considering the liars poker situation we are in, bear stearns has exactly one option: Bankruptcy
If they didnt, they can never argue that they did not betray its shareholders by accepting the fire sale price. Everything but a bankruptcy shows how foolish their move to sell out indeed has been.

amazing idea, but given the size of the diminished bear, this makes sense. There are some brilliant minds out, or those who can count one and one together.

It also adds a new twist to the meaning of a share price.
