re: FNM ["I expect FNM 30 will be taken out. April 30
calls were up 166% yesterday closed at 2.40, I won't be
surprised if they close above 3 if the Govt plan to ease
Capital Collars are announced."]

It was announced and Fannie up another +8% today on one
helluva ugly "shoulda smoke'd 'em if ya had 'em" tape.

The $30 calls rise from the abyss, and finally come
into the money. I thought we were going to see $15 before $30.

Damn. That was one hell of a ride.

Once again, whether in the midst of war, or an ugly tape...

Smoke 'em if ya' got 'em!

So sticking with that theme, I decided that discretion was
the better part of valor here...

"Watching GS, but the only thing I did today was sell some
LEH $10 & $15 April puts."

===============================================================

I sold LEH April $10 puts (LYHPB.X) Monday for $1.55 and
bought them back today for .35c.

And sold the April $15 puts (LYHPC.X) for $3.70 Monday, and
bought them back today for .60cents.

Pretty near a 5x return locked against the box... not bad for
a 48 hour turn, but then again -- sometimes you just have to
do a little short term tradin' because as you all know...

-- "you just can't be going around picking the eyes out of longterm trends."

So if you can't go long term - go short term.

...and PS:

Did you hear them on CNBC today? They're already chiseling
in the epitaph for gold and commodities.

Remember what Napoleon said...
