Marcos lending is still getting tightened up. Higher penalties unless you have perfect credit. FNMA and FDMAC requiring a down no more 100% financing I don't think. Not the final word. FHA will still be a bit loose regarding ficos.Tiered pricing is here with discount points added for different fico ranges. Not going to be able to bail out a lot of liar loan people because to do that they have to qualify the old fashioned way.On top of that with market values pulling back a lot of borrowers are under water. A refi will not help as they cannot meet value criteria.

Back to reality. Rumors. USA that drift from the news the other day may be big. Maybe they hit on some other holes. Other positive stuff some I will not repeat. Besides it is not fact until published as CC used to tell me.Contract miners helping out. Maybe some mechanized underground mining on the way with wider zones. Caladay still of interest. Maybe they hit big in some holes.

WGW/WGI: rumor investec sold out 11 mill shares or is about finished. That capped the stock. Rumor only. Also WGW looks attractive to suitors at this low price who knows just what I heard. Western is still in the hunt for a merge or acquisition. The street knows but does not care right now. Even Peter Hodson mentioned a potential merge candidate yesterday on BNN. Not the Golden Queen which has come up and may be a target. Golden Queen may need more permits though. Drilling going swell. Expanding. Rumor maybe they will get a permit to move more tonnage. All rumor at this point.

But I am holding my USA and WGW. AT some point USA at 3 and WGW at 8-9. I can retire if it happens. Fingers crossed. If we get half way there USA at 1.50 and WGW at 5 things to ponder. Market giveth and the market take away.

epm.to - another post on that thread, on the debt structure, quite well laid out [i understand Libor is currently running just under 3% even for 1-yr money, so not too onerous, be nice to start getting it paid off though] -

stockhouse.ca

[edit] - here's another that, according to INKresearch, has absolutely no insider trading for the last twelve months ... pretty decent management holdings too, Williams and Kennedy have near 12m between them

... if i had to pick one day for the first serious green, it would be thursday

hopefully prophetic.

not much makes sense these days. seems as if monies are panicky, in gov bonds today, out of securities the moment, out of commodities the moment..some good buys soon as is the moment.
with the drop in the interest rate Sunday & Tuesday, the 'norm' would have figured a weakened dollar, higher pm's..go figure!

this nation's fundamentals are so hosed, nothing makes sense & sense is made all the more meaningless. 'normal' standards of conduct, of citizenship, of character, of responsibility, of stewardship..all are morphed into the absurd; more- so, obscene. where is the passion for congressional inquiries into the rating service sector that basically is in self denial...the disfunctional rating services that investors rely on..the rating services that ultimately shot full of holes the worlds security markets. financialweek.com
one would think government should be addressing the making of the sub- prime slime & the resulting scenarios that have had such a negative impact throughout the worlds banking systems.
what would one expect predicting the resulting markets? much good luck! that's all.

today's news, more bush-it.
the ******g idiot bush attacks the wrong nation 5 years ago..today, declares victory. maybe "mission is accomplished after all. amazing. news.bbc.co.uk

I did buy more NOG. soon (hopefully) it will be trading on the Amex (one less b.s. 'pink' to follow) biz.yahoo.com I figure NOG will take off big time & the Amex listing will give it exposure, but then again..
