The news organizations generally gave Obama very high marks for his speech. Some said that he stood his ground in not throwing the Rev. under the bus while at the same time repudiating and disagreeing with him; sign of a good leader. While others, who seemingly had high hopes about his speech, said that it did not deliver a knockout punch. Except for the right wingers and Hillary surrogates on the different networks, they generally agreed that Obama managed to hold onto to his base.

Rev. Lowrey, who is a Clinton supporter, came out in defense of Rev. wright and told the audience (particularly the White community) to make a greater effort to under the Black theology. Now onto FOX. Hannity is a madman, ranting right wing extremist. He is utterly disgusting and I have already started to flip the channel when he comes on.

All in all, my feel is that Obama was very successful in arresting the slide. Now he is going to get back on track tomorrow with his Iraq speech. And Hillary, having failed to make a dent in Obama's support, is as we all know by now, is planning to go to Michigan to try to keep the infighting alive.

Hillary, with her tactics of keeping the flames of race alive is a disgrace to womanhood. If you ask me why I am singling her out, notice that today, all day long she kept her eyes not on the crowd as she has done in the past. Instead she kept looking down. That she is in bed with the likes of Limbaugh and Coulter and refusing to come out against the race issue and that one of the ardent Clinton supporter and top Civil Rights leader, Rev. Lowrey broke ranks with her, tells me that she is under intense pressure from the Party leadership to cease and desist from her tactics.

It is just a matter of time before Obama becomes the nominee.
