The Reverend Wright issue is over. Finished. Obama hit that ball out of the park so far it's still going.

And yes, preachers whom McCain and Bush have kowtowed to have said even more inflammatory things. Such as, McCain's favorite evangelical claimed that New Orleans "deserved it" when Katrina hit. I would call that worse, especially since actual people by the hundreds of thousands were dying and having their lives ruined as that Reverend was saying those outrageous remarks. McCain stated that he was proud to have that preacher's endorsement and actively sought it out. He has never condemned those words. But Obama has condemned all inflammatory remarks of Wright's time after time.

Bob Jones University is for segregation and institutionalized racism. GW Bush has kowtowed to them many times. GW has never apologized or condemned any of it.

Billy Graham also has made many anti-semitic remarks. Gw has never condemned those.

In truth, all ministers and all people in general sometimes make over the top hateful remarks. But judge a man by his actions. Graham is a fine man because of his actions. So is Wright. Wright has cared for tens of thousands of poor down-trodden people. That is true christanity. I'm not sure if Bob Jones or the religious right has ever done anything righteous, but they might have. Can you think of anything? Have they ever helped the poor and downtrodden as Christ taught us to do?
