The 802.11 slotted Aloha timeslot calculation was fixed in IEEE 802.11-2007; the Country Information element tells stations what aAirPropagationTime to use - up to 93 usec (10 miles between the most distant stations).

With all due respect, IEEE 802 defines and standardizes LANs.
