That is the thing, you are subjecting your kid to a lifetime of teasing and snickers. These parents think it's cute but they are negatively impacting their child for life. It's child abuse as far as I'm concerned.

Imagine that kid growing up and having to spell his/her name every where he went. For his entire life! I get pissed when someone asks me "Is that Adams with ONE D?" I can't even think about having to spell my name every time.

It makes a lot of sense to me. Stigmatizing your kid with a odd ball name should be against the law. It's child abuse.
