Massive profits within a week or so of launch, what are you on ? Massive OEM orders at attractive prices within a week or so of launch would be enough to decide not to lay people off. Evidently that's not the situation. Either the orders are not massive, or the prices are not sufficiently attractive. I'll bet it's the second. The good news about the 780 is that it should make all AMD CPU's sellable at some price. The bad news is that the CPU's are so far behind Intel that the price in question is probably very low.
